Are you up for the Pepsi Passport Challenge?
First Friday Raleigh, presented by the Downtown Raleigh Alliance, is a self-guided art walk showcasing the vibrant art and creative community in Downtown Raleigh on the first Friday of every month from 6-9 pm. The free public event features a variety of local art galleries and studios, museums and exhibitors that stay open late, put on special events and often offer refreshments.
This First Friday we’re launching the Pepsi Passport Challenge! All you have to do is complete four challenges listed on the Pepsi Passport for the chance to win a gift card to a Downtown business. You can pick up a Pepsi Passport from any First Friday participating business. To get you started, here are seven ideas on how to complete the Pepsi Passport Challenge. To be entered into the drawing you have to complete four challenges and the following tasks:
- Post yourself completing the challenge on your social media
- Tag the business location
- Follow and tag @firstfridayral
- Use our official hashtag #FirstFridayRaleigh or #PepsiFirstFriday

RIDE THE R-LINE
With over 80 participants in five downtown districts, there’s always so much to do on First Friday. Take advantage of the R-LINE, a FREE circulator bus that will connect you to restaurants, retail, art galleries, entertainment venues, and parking facilities in downtown Raleigh. Be sure to take a flick of yourself while riding the R-LINE.
SHOP LOCAL
Shop local at the Dogwood Country Club. It's a classic country club with an urban twist, featuring clothing, a Trackman golf simulation + Certified PGA instruction.

TAKE A SELFIE IN AN ART GALLERY
Litmus Gallery & Studios is currently hosting their exhibit “Open Minded” exhibit with work by the Triangle Visual Artists. Take your time browsing around their gallery and enjoy a glass of wine while you’re at it. Don’t forget to take a selfie while you’re there!
Pro Tip: You can also complete the “Purchase a Painting” challenge while you’re there. Just remember to share a photo of your new purchase.
TRY A LOCAL BEER
If you’re searching for a great local beer, look no further than Crank Arm Brewing. Stop by their tasting room to see what seasonal beers are on tap. Enjoy your brew inside or relax on their patio but be sure take a photo and tag the location.
GET A NEW HAIRCUT
Self-care is vital especially in this humidity. Treat yourself to a new haircut at Bishops and take a snap of your new hairdo with the location tagged.

GRAB DINNER WITH FRIENDS
Finding a restaurant that all your friends love can be difficult. Head to Morgan Street Food Hall where the choices are endless. With nearly 20 restaurants options, there’s something for everyone. Be sure to take a picture with your friends and tag the location to get the credit.
Pro Tip: You can also complete the “Find a Sweet Treat” challenge by grabbing a dessert while you’re at Morgan Street Food Hall. Just remember to snap a flick and tag the location.
