Duke Energy Storefront Revitalization Grant Recipients
63 local businesses have been given more than $288,100 in grants with funds from the Duke Energy Storefront Revitalization Grant Program following a two-week application and review process. After learning of the overwhelming response from downtown businesses, Duke Energy recognized the critical need and stepped up with $260,000 in funding to support more of its neighboring businesses. More than 57% of the businesses selected for this grant are owned and operated by women and/or minorities. The grant gives these establishments the opportunity to create outdoor seating and serving opportunities, develop e-commerce websites, repair window fronts, and upgrade health and safety elements.
From restaurants to retailers, Duke Energy stepped up with funding to support downtown businesses. Read more about the grant program here.
