Floraffiti Public Art Project Comes Back to Downtown Raleigh

DRA is so excited to be working with artist Carter Hubbard to bring the public art and beautification project Floraffiti to downtown Raleigh again.

Planters posing for the camera

Floraffiti is a placemaking, community engagement and public art project in which large-scale words are planted with clover in downtown mulch beds. We are calling for volunteers to assist with the planting! Projects will take place March 11-16 at different locations in Raleigh. The downtown projects will be featured at CAM Raleigh, Nash Square, Duke Energy for the Performing Arts, the State Capitol and Duncan Parnell

There are limited volunteer spots, so sign up today!

The words for Floraffiti will be inspired from two community workshops, one at CAM on March 3rd and the other at Artspace on March 9th. Community members are invited to participate in fun, family friendly activities at the two locations to cultivate a word and image bank. It's about your relationship with downtown and the ways you make a connection to your sense of place. Share stories about the sites and sounds of Raleigh, your favorite places, and where you have created memorable moments that reflect the heart of this city like no other. These events are open to the public and free.
