Join Raleigh Arts for a reception celebrating the Voices of Oberlin exhibition at Block Gallery on Thursday, June 29, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Through portraits and oral histories from elders and community members, the Voices of Oberlin exhibition emphasizes how special the Oberlin community was and still is. A Reconstruction-era settlement of free African Americans, Oberlin produced citizens who made significant contributions to North Carolina and the nation. What makes this community so great are its families and institutions.
