Let's get together while staying apart! Join United Arts Council LIVE on April 3 for a special First Friday event.

Schedule of Events:
6:00 pm: Welcome from Mark Steward, United Arts Board Chair

6:05 pm: Around the World, a Virtual Rhythm Experience with Greg Whitt
Teaching artist Greg Whitt of Drum for Change will lead a virtual rhythm experience for all ages. While we are at home in our own little worlds, Greg will share his percussion instruments from around the world to teach us how to play nicely together and remind us of the things that are most important. Learn new and different ways to create your very own rhythm jams with items from around your house.

6:30 pm: Virtual Opening of Gifts of Gold Exhibit
To celebrate the 2020 Gifts of Gold winners, we will present the virtual unveiling of the wonderful artwork created by Wake County Public School students. We will also have an interview with the Best in Show artist and her art teacher. (Gifts of Gold is the visual component of the Pieces of Gold showcase held each March and is a collaboration between United Arts, Raleigh Arts, and the Wake County Public School System.)
