Raleigh’s Vidrio restaurant is hosting a “Taste Tour of the Mediterranean” monthly dinner series. The destination and menu inspiration will change each month and we work our way through the Mediterranean. The next destination: Egypt! Dinner is $85, plus tax and gratuity.
Join us and immerse yourself in an exclusive multi-course cultural dinner experience filled with authentic and elevated Egyptian cuisine hosted by NC Chef of the Year Saif Rahman.
MEZZE
Aiesh Balady (traditional Egyptian bread)
Baba Ghanouj
Ful Mudamas (a stew of cooked fava beans served with olive oil and spices)
Bitngan Mekhelil (Egyptian pickled eggplant)
Egyptian Tahini Sauce
FOR THE TABLE MAIN COURSE
Molokhia with Chicken (Molokhia is a green sauce made from minced Jute mallow leaves and cooked in broth)
Fattah (This is a traditional Egyptian food to celebrate any occasion, especially during Eid ul Adha. Fattah is also served at weddings, gatherings and Ramadan.)
Mashi fill-fill (Egyptian braised stuffed peppers with meat and rice)
DESSERTS
Umm Ali (the national dessert of Egypt)
Kunafa (a spun pastry called kataifi and sweet cheese)
Sahlab (milk pudding with toasted nuts)
