Let’s get together while staying apart! We hope you can join us LIVE on August 7th at 6:00 pm for an un-BEE-lievable First Friday event: First, we will welcome Pam Thompson Smith who is the executive director of one of our Cultural Access grantees – the African American Cultural Festival of Raleigh and Wake County. She will be joined by her board chair, Grady Bussey, to discuss the plans for their festival on Labor Day weekend, and the ways they are adapting in these uncertain times. Next, we will enjoy a conversation with muralist Matt Willey about his passion for honey bees, his goal of painting 50,000 bees across the United States, and his newest bee mural in Wendell as part of our Municipal Murals program, funded in part by Wake County.
