RALEIGH, NC (July 11, 2014) –Due to the success of the 2013 Raleigh MIX, this year’s Raleigh MIX presented by Common 414 and Paddy O’Beers has expanded to two consecutive Friday nights (July 25 and August 1, 2014), adding a live music element to further showcase the diverse and eclectic nightlife in Downtown Raleigh. A Downtown Raleigh Alliance (DRA) merchant program, the Raleigh MIX, presented by Common 414 and Paddy O’Beers, aims to draw people into the downtown Raleigh districts and to explore or rediscover its nightlife and live music scene.
This year’s MIX venues will offer the incentive of not charging a cover at the door on both Friday nights, allowing patrons an all-access pass. On the first night, Friday, July 25, participating nightlife venues and dance clubs will feature a special guest DJ and creative drink specials. On the following Friday (August 1) patrons will have the opportunity to experience downtown’s live music scene at participating pubs and nightlife venues. In addition, each venue will offer an intriguing specialty cocktail featuring the same “secret ingredient” — only to be unveiled the night of the event.
"The Raleigh MIX is the perfect way to showcase Raleigh's thriving Night Life Scene,” said Anna Castle from Isaac Hunter Hospitality. “We are proud to be a part of Downtown Raleigh's diverse set of offerings-- from an 80s & 90s bar like Coglin's Raleigh to a relaxed craft beer bar like Paddy O'Beers, to a lively craft cocktail parlor like Common 414, Raleigh has something for everyone!”
According to David Meeker, Downtown resident who lives at the PNC Plaza Condos, “The Raleigh Mix is a fun event for downtown residents who enjoy the mix of live music venues that are walking distance from our homes.”
The Downtown Raleigh Alliance is proud to announce Common 414 and Paddy O’Beers as the presenting sponsors of the Raleigh MIX. Thank you to our sponsors: Velvet Rope Sponsor Common 414 and Paddy O’Beers, DJ Booth Sponsor Taxi Taxi Raleigh, Dance Floor Sponsor Hibernian, and Media Sponsor Clear Channel.
The DRA is pleased to have Taxi Taxi as a partner of this event all the while promoting safety and social responsibility to not drink and drive.
