RALEIGH, NC (May 3, 2016) – The Downtown Raleigh Alliance is excited to launch the seventh season of the Raleigh Downtown Farmers Market tomorrow with our Carolina Kickoff event from 10 am – 2 pm in City Plaza on the 400 block of Fayetteville Street!
The Carolina Kickoff features The Pit Authentic Barbecue’s food truck, as well as other grab and go lunch options, a free beer sampling with Foothills Brewing Company, and live music by Dark Water Rising.
For 22 weeks, through September 28, the Raleigh Downtown Farmers Market is hosting more than 40 rotating vendors that include North Carolina farmers, ranchers, nurserymen, bakers, cheese makers, specialty food producers, and craftsman. We are proud to host several new vendors this season including Alora’s Soaps & Stuff, C.V. Pilson, Jones Farm, NC Soap Opera Company, Rare Earth Farms, Sweet Peas Urban Garden, The Bath Place, Treat, and Woodcrafty.
The market will also feature activity tents - including BikeRaleigh - to celebrate Bike Month. The market is the perfect place for downtown residents and workers to grab a quick lunch or fresh items for a healthy mid-week meal.
