Ice Raleigh Returns to Downtown Raleigh’s City Plaza
RALEIGH, NC (October 20, 2016) – The leaves are turning, and fall is upon us. That means Raleigh’s only natural ice outdoor skating rink, Ice Raleigh, returns to City Plaza on Fayetteville Street. The Downtown Raleigh Alliance in keeping with its mission to provide high-quality downtown events, is excited to work with Polar Ice House so that skaters can hit the ice again in the heart of downtown Raleigh on Saturday, November 19 immediately following the WRAL Raleigh Christmas Parade.
The rink will be open through Sunday, January 29, 2017.
“We can’t wait to bring this event back to downtown. It really makes the city come alive during the winter months. It’s incredible to see so many residents, couples, families, and children enjoy skating outdoors. The ice rink is one of our favorite events, and it’s a joy for us to see the happiness this public space activation provides for the city,” says DRA Events Director Craig Reed.
Ice Raleigh will also include special programming throughout the season, including: Live music, two for one days, DJ nights, theme nights, charity events, discounts, and more!
