Downtown Retailer Relocates Due to Thriving Business

RALEIGH, NC (April 10, 2019) – The Flourish Market, Downtown Raleigh’s do-good boutique, plans move to The Warehouse District, expanding its footprint to 3,500 square feet, opening May 31st 2019. The new space will occupy The Locality, a collaborative female entrepreneurs co-working space.

Downtown Raleigh Alliance President and CEO said, “We were excited to help The Flourish market find a new space in downtown Raleigh, where they can expand both their space and mission. The store will be co-located with other clothing retailers nearby such as Raleigh Denim, Father and Son, and Urban Outfitters, creating a clothing cluster for shoppers on W. Martin St. We are also very excited about The Locality co-working concept for helping support more female entrepreneurs, which is a major strength for downtown.”

Over half of The Flourish Market products are made by or support survivors of sex trafficking abroad, and right here at home in the United States. The store also offers clothing made by sex trafficking survivors in Nepal, jewelry made in the USA by women transitioning out of addiction programs, and 50+ incredible artisan partner groups. The Locality will be the hub for 50 local female entrepreneurs.  Each membership will be part time (either 2 days / week or 3 days / week), and members will be interacting + collaborating with 20-25 different women on site each day.  Monthly member socials as well as monthly development classes will be on tap.
