RALEIGH, NC (January 4, 2016) – The Downtown Raleigh Alliance announces weekly programming at the Ipreo Ice Rink, located in the 400 block of Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh's City Plaza. The picturesque rink remains open after the holiday rush through the end of January. We welcome skaters of all ages, and admission is $10, including skate rental for both children and adults.
The rink hosts Two for Tuesdays most Tuesday evenings, which provides patrons with the biggest discount opportunity for the week: skaters may buy one pass and get one completely free.
Wednesdays is college night at the rink. Students can show their valid college I.D. and receive $2 off the price of admission.
On Thursdays, we encourage skaters to show their local Carolina Hurricanes pride. Customers sporting any Hurricanes logo wear will receive $2 off the price of admission.
As an added bonus, the rink will be allowing strollers on the ice on Thursday, January 14 from 10 am-12 noon. This one-morning-only special will cost $12 total for both the stroller and the adult skater.
On most Fridays, a DJ from Vox DJ Company will be spinning '80s and '90s tunes as well as current favorites.
On Saturday, January 9, two coaches will provide “mini-lessons” for kids from 1:30 pm-3:30 pm. Lessons will last for about 15 minutes each and will give children a brief overview of ice skating basics.
