"Butterflies" can be found on the east-facing wall of the Delany-Evans Building; built in 1924 by Dr. Lemuel T. Delany, a black physician and Dr. George Evans, Raleigh's second black dentist. This building also housed the Richard B. Harrison Library, Raleigh's first library for African Americans.
