Downtown Raleigh Alliance honored ten significant construction projects with Imprint Awards at the 2025 State of Downtown Raleigh event on Thursday, August 28th.

Imprint Awards are given to major developments that contribute to the forward momentum of Downtown Raleigh and invest more than $2 million in downtown.

The Marbles Playway

Marbles Kids Museum worked with Wake County, McAdams, Clearscapes and Barnhill to transform our central outdoor courtyard into The Marbles Playway, reopening in fall 2024 as an urban oasis that is accessible and free to all. Featuring playful climbers, native plantings, greenspace, picnic areas and colorful shade structures, The Marbles Playway contributes to a more vibrant, family-friendly and welcoming downtown.

Union Station Bus Facility

The Raleigh Union Station Bus Facility is the publicly funded portion of a joint development project led by GoTriangle and its development partner Hoffman & Associates. The transit facility provides Downtown Raleigh with a multi-modal connection between intercity passenger rail, future bus rapid transit, and local, regional, and intercity bus services. The facility is comprised of a mixture of on-and-off-street components integrating pedestrian and bicycle mobility and will be part of the future Union West mixed-use private development in the Warehouse District.

Tempo by Hilton / Homewood Suites by Hilton Dual Brand Hotel

This development project aimed to provide a top tier hotel to the Downtown Raleigh landscape. Tempo by Hilton is a lifestyle hotel brand designed for the ambitious, modern traveler seeking to maintain balance and momentum while traveling. Homewood Suites appeals to guests who value the extra space and amenities for extended stays, providing a "home-like" environment. To top it all off, we created the tallest and largest rooftop bar in Raleigh named Urban Oak which nestles you into the skyline of the City of Oaks and allows guests and locals to venture up for craft cocktails, curated bites, and lively energy.

The Row

1021 S Saunders Street 

The Row is the first residential development in Rockway, strategically positioned across from Dorothea Dix Park and adjacent to the Rocky Branch Trail, seamlessly integrating urban living with nature. The project features distinctive design elements including light masonry and corrugated metal that honor the area's industrial heritage, complemented by large-scale murals celebrating Raleigh's local flora, while offering premier finishes and market-leading amenities such as work-from-home spaces and a rooftop indoor/outdoor lounge overlooking the park.
