Bike Month 2025
Every May is National Bike Month! See all the Downtown Raleigh events happening this May below. Roll on over for these fun and free events.

Oaks and Spokes Bike Month Social + Kick-off
May 1st, 6-8pm | The Bend Bar, 853 W Morgan St.
Join Oaks & Spokes for an evening to mingle with organizations and friends advocating for safe streets and easy connectivity around the city of Raleigh.
Food and drink will be available to purchase at the venue. Oaks & Spokes is sponsoring a drink ticket for every Oaks & Spokes member attending the social.
First Friday Slow Roll + Bike Parade
May 2nd, 6-8pm | Oak City Cycling Project, 707 N Person St.
Part bike ride, part parade, all fun. Join us for our First Friday slow roll from Oak City Cycling Project to Downtown Raleigh - this ride will bring you to the heart of downtown for all the First Friday festivities.
This family friendly "slow roll" is appropriate for all ages and abilities but will occur in street, so if your little one is not comfortable riding at a 10-12 MPH pace, a burley, cargo bike or bike seat is a better fit.
Get ready for some dino-themed fun once we get to Downtown, with selfie stations set up for a brief ride interlude where rollers can win a $100 gift card to a Downtown Raleigh retailer of their choice.
Dress up or dress down - this is a casual cruiser ride and a fun celebration kick-off event for our month of fun.
Registration encouraged.
