Bike Book Club with So and So Books
Oaks and Spokes and So & So Books are teaming up for a book club that focuses on sustainable cities and how to get Raleigh rolling toward a more bike friendly future. Bike To School Day
Bike to School Day is a national event held annually at schools and communities across the country. Bike to School Day events are a fun way to bring communities together to promote bicycle safety and encourage physical activity for elementary and middle school students.

Bike Bonanza
Let's kick off Bike Month! Join the City of Raleigh and other partners at Raleigh Union Station to get Bike Month in gear. This is a First Friday event in Downtown Raleigh. Learn more and register here.

Marbles Kid's Bike Rodeo
Bring your kid's bike, trike and helmet and get them rolling and ready for summer. Hosted by the Marbles in partnership with RPD’s Southeast District Community squad and local cycling advocacy group, Oaks and Spokes, this event helps kids learn about bike safety and practice their riding skills through an obstacle course. Other activities include a Bike Bling Make Shop, Bike Swap, Helmet fittings, and maintenance checks. More information here.

Oak City Cycling Project Basic Maintenance Class
Oak City Cycling Project hosts a free basic maintenance class on the second Wednesday of each month. Attendance is limited. Please sign up in advance, here. Bring your bike along to learn alongside others how to take care of your ride.

Bike-In Movie
Oaks and Spokes and Oak City Cycling Project are hosting a Bike Month Bike-In Movie. Join up for a night of bike themed fun. Learn more here.

Community Bike Repair Day with Oak City Cares
Join Community Kickstand and Oaks and Spokes at Oak City Cares for the Bike Month edition of the community repair day, in partnership with Oak City Cares. This event is for Raleigh residents with some basic bike maintenance skills and allows our community to give back to those that may lack reliable transportation options, and rely on a bike as their main transportation option. It's a great cause, and a great time!

Brews and Bikes
Join Downtown Raleigh Alliance, Oak City Cycling Project, Left Hook Coffee and Oaks and Spokes for a morning of community and fun. Complimentary bike tune-ups are provided for all Downtown Raleigh employees along with a coupon for a complimentary cup of joe from the team at Left Hook Coffee.
DRA will have tasty treats for those pedaling over at our table, as well. Please register to help us have a count of attendees here.

Third Thursday Cruiser Ride
Join Oak City Cycling Project for their Third Thursday cruiser ride. A special Bike Month edition brings out a crowd. This is a slow roll style, no drop ride for everyone. Bring your family and your friends.

Bike to Work Day
Biking makes all commutes better! Try it for the first time or the hundredth time on National Bike to Work Day, May 19th. Downtown will have over 7 locations this year - look for Downtown Raleigh Alliance at 100 E. Davie Street with the Red Hat crew. Discover Downtown Sustainability Biking Tour
Downtown Raleigh Alliance is proud to host our first "rolling" Discover Downtown tour, featuring some of our most sustainable buildings in Downtown Raleigh. Stops will include 301 Hillsborough (a beehive and bike room!), Raleigh Union Station and Moore Square Park. The ride will end with an overview from the Sustainability Team at the City of Raleigh on efforts for our Community Climate Action Plan along with complimentary brews for participants. All participants need to bring their own bike and bike lock. Registration is limited to 40 participants, register here.

Oaks & Spokes Light Up The Night Ride
The brightest bike ride of the year is back again so get some lights, throw them on your bike/person/helmet and ride with the group. Ten percent of Crank Arm sales will be donated to Oaks & Spokes and pizza provided to riders at the end of the ride. Find out more information here.
