First Friday is best experienced on foot for seeing all of the art. But if you're coming from out of downtown, here's some advice.

Parking

Find convenient downtown parking in a lot, garage/deck, or on the street. There are over 70 places to park in Downtown Raleigh. Patrons can pay to park in metered spaces using the Passport Parking App. An interactive map of downtown parking is available here.

Take the bus to and around downtown for First Friday! Plan your route using GoRaleigh’s trip planning tool. Avoid waiting for a bus by tracking your bus online, signing up for text alerts, or downloading an app with Automated Bus Tracking by GoRaleigh.

Bike

Ride your bike to downtown on one of the many greenways. Zip-around downtown along bike paths and lock up at one of many downtown bike racks. View a map of recommended downtown bike paths from BikeRaleigh.
