Introducing Woven Strangers! Mark your calendars for FIRST FRIDAY at the Transfer Co Food Hall Loft! Jean Gray Mohs, a versatile mixed media artist currently based at Artspace in Raleigh, NC, channels her creativity primarily through painting and sculpture, manifesting in organic wooden objects. Mohs employs a juxtaposition of sturdy wood and fragile waxed thread to explore the emotional and physical spaces of vulnerability and resiliency. Her artistic lens focuses on the subtle yet powerful forces at work within our bodies, often unnoticed until disrupted. Over her career, she has presented her work in 26 solo shows, participated in 91 group exhibitions, and contributed to 24 museum and university exhibitions.
