Details

Wladimir de Terlikowski, known as “the Polish Master”, spent much of his life working in Paris among a distinguished group of contemporaries including Modigliani, Picasso, Soutine, Chagall and Matisse, a group now referred to as the School of Paris. His work was greatly influenced by these masters and the art movements of the time. Traces of Fauvism, Cubism, and Impressionism, are all clearly evident in his work. Terlikowski’s canvases are admired for their vibrant colors and strong sense of light with a palette largely inspired by the environs of the French countryside and coast. His recognizable palette knife technique has earned him comparisons to Paul Cezanne and Auguste Renoir. Gallery C is proud to offer these paintings from Wladimir’s estate. Each presented in its original, custom, hand-finished frame by DELF, of Paris.

Join us for the opening reception on Friday, June 7th, 6-8pm!
