Current Wellness is excited to announce our very first Trauma-Informed yoga offering: Yoga for Anxiety. We invite you to join Kaya Luciani, TI-YT (she/her) for a 4-week series of movement exploration and community. In this space, she will teach yoga as a tool to encourage building/rebuilding a relationship with one’s body.
This offering is specific to folks who experience anxiety, racing thoughts and other indicators of hyper-arousal after trauma. We will offer methods to explore these individual physical experiences with curiosity and without judgement. We’ll engage in movement, breath and other tools that aim to encourage an aroused nervous system to make its way back to baseline. Unlike a typical stand-alone yoga class, this 4-week series will allow the option to journal and/or share reflections before, during and after class. Under a trauma-informed lens, choice, trust and safety are of the highest importance. All practices offered within the series are optional; this time will be about learning what your body needs and taking ownership of that no matter what it looks like.
Trauma-Informed Yoga for Anxiety meets on Sundays 11am-12:15pm from April 7th through April 28th.
Cost: $85 (or $68 for members)
