Tipsy Spelling Bee is a game show-style competitive spelling bee Thursday nights at Killjoy in downtown Raleigh. It’s not the average bee: contestants battle it out word by word for a cash grand prize, while the crowd cheers, heckles, and plays along from the bar.
Watching is free. Competing is $35, which includes a drink and a shooter. Come straight from work with no dress code and no pressure. It works for date night, your friend group, or a solo night out, and you’ll be home by 10.
