The Redbud Writing Project, Raleigh's only adult education creative writing organization, is throwing a fall fundraiser/party at Videri in downtown Raleigh on Tuesday, September 20 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. At the party, we'll launch our second annual Coppice Prize anthology, a compilation of the three winning short stories. Four winners of both last year's contest and this year's will read from their works and speak about their inspiration, process, and what, exactly, makes for a good short story.
That's not all! We'll also have food and alcoholic drinks included in the ticket price (exact vendors to be announced very soon) as well as a local band playing. And, as always, expect to meet other literary types and book nerds and writers!!
Tickets for this event are available on a sliding scale from $30 to $100--choose the ticket price that fits with your budget. All proceeds from sales for this event will go to a special class that Redbud is running in partnership with InterAct, for survivors of domestic violence and abuse.
