in situ studio will host the second annual #realmatter lecture series beginning this weekend in Raleigh, NC. The series supplements Real Matter 22, a two-week workshop (07 24 22 – 08 06 22) that engages young designers from around the country in a design charrette focused on the correlation between the built environment and social issues in our cities.
The public lecture and panel series shapes the curriculum for the workshop participants and aspires to spark critical dialogue about the future of the built environment. These conversations are most successful with a substantial and diverse range of voices – this year features conversations led by David Seiter of Future Green Studio, Johanna Hurme of 5468795 arch, Ifeoma Ebo of Creative Urban Alchemy, Neeraj Bhatia of The Open Workshop, and Hector Barroso from Taller Hector Barroso, as well as several architects and social activists from the NC Triangle region.
All events will be livestreamed or RSVP for a seat to participate in person!
