Punk Rock Show with Safe Word celebrates their 15th Anniversary at Slim's!
From Rocky Mount, NC, with a taste for crossover thrash and Southern metal, Safe Word does not fit neatly into any designated category. Instead, this North Carolina outfit is more about shredding preconceived notions towards punk and metal, demonstrating the two are compatible; they actually belong together. Safe Word blends punk anthems w riffs. They are the peanut butter cup of Southern Punk Rock Thrash N Roll.
Yea (H) - if Vivian, Neil, Mike and Rik from the The Young Ones started a band this would be it. Hailing from Garner, North Carolina USA (South of Raleigh) YEA(h) plays fun easy to digest punk inspired rock and roll.
The Explainers started as a way to deal with the bizarro land of the 2010s through musical expression. They had been friends for years and never played music together until one fateful evening in August 2018. With satirical lyrics and a mission to make every song sound different from the others, they have since played a million shows in Wilmington looking to branch out to your town!
