This is a two part workshop that will meet on Saturday December 2nd + 9th. Once the pots are ready, participants will be asked to visit Copperline Plant Co. (located around the corner from Artspace) to pick up their pots and claim their plants!
Create a handmade plant pot that you'll be proud to give to a loved one, or cherish for yourself for years to come! In partnership with Copperline Plant Co., you will apply basic hand-building and glazing techniques to create a small planter, perfect for a new houseplant! Speaking of - all attendees of this class will get to select a beginner-friendly houseplant to take home!
The first session of this two-part class will focus on forming your clay and creating your pots. Week two will be all all about the finishing touches - from engraving to using underglaze to decorate your planters. Artspace will fire and glaze the pots, which will be available for pickup, along with your new plant, at Copperline Plant Co in City Market.
This is an entry level class and no prior experience is needed. It is recommended that attendees are able to be present for both sessions in order to complete the project.
