This traditional practice has been passed down through generations in ancestral communities of South and North America. Here, the term “moon” refers to menstrual blood. With this practice we will cultivate an understanding of our cyclical existence and strengthen our connection to the natural world. This practice involves a simple ritual of returning menstrual blood to the earth, symbolizing gratitude for the resources used and the experiences lived during each menstrual cycle.
