The horizon looks different for everyone.
For someone living with paralysis, it may be the next movement regained, another measure of independence reclaimed, the strength to keep going, or simply the opportunity to continue exploring what might still be possible.
At NextStep Raleigh, we believe the course of recovery should not be determined by where insurance coverage ends.
Our community-based paralysis recovery and fitness center provides specialized Activity-Based Guided Training and other evidence-informed interventions designed to help people living with spinal cord injuries and other neurological conditions pursue greater function, independence, health, and quality of life.
There is no single map for recovery. No predictable timeline. No guarantee of what waits beyond the horizon.
But there can be opportunity.
And that is where this community comes aboard.

Beyond the Horizon unfolds through three distinct waypoints, allowing you to experience the evening from beginning to end or join us at the point along the journey that is right for you.
Launch your evening with the intimate Wayfarer Experience, reserved for sponsors and Premier Ticket holders. Join us for The Voyage, the heart of the gala, where food, cocktails, auctions and mission come together. Or come aboard for After Dark, when the evening shifts into music, dancing, late-night bites and celebration.
