Boatman Spirits Co. has launched a series of monthly cocktail classes called "A Parting Class," a play on "the parting glass," a Scotch tradition of sharing a last drink at the end of a gathering. They are held on the first Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. This is a chance to learn from the spirits experts at Boatman Spirits Co., downtown Raleigh's only craft cocktail bar, restaurant and distillery. Every class includes light bites, hands-on instruction on making the featured cocktail, and the chance to taste multiple versions of it. Classes are limited to 15 people and will be held in the distillery bar, with optional distillery tours afterward. Tickets cost $45 per person.

Old Fashioned
