The public is invited to attend an in-person, community-led fundraiser hosted by CAM Raleigh from 6:30-8:30 p.m. May 18, 2023 to support the opening of Liberation Station Bookstore. North Carolina’s first Black-owned children’s bookstore will open Juneteenth weekend at 208 Fayetteville St. Suite 201, in downtown Rlaeigh. The evening will include sips and snacks from local small businesses, tea and dessert from OraTeahouse and Bakery, cotton candy provided by Wonderpuff, an autographed copy of The Museum Lives in Me and more.
