You may know that blue crabs are a famous summer treat in North Carolina, but been too intimidated to cook them at home. This class will cover how to source, select, and prepare blue crabs (along with other summer seafood items to accompany them) fresh from Locals Seafood in Raleigh. You’ll learn about the equipment you need and tips to avoid cookout disasters.

After cooking, we’ll dive in on the feast with a lesson in how to pick the meat from these tricky crustaceans. We’ll wrap up with ideas for how to use crabmeat beyond just eating in the moment.

No previous seafood experience needed, but be ready to get your hands messy!
