Horsehead, Rebecca Porter, and Dragmatic are playing at Slim’s on September 26th from 9-11pm! Richmond, VA’s Horsehead has been cranking out Americana rock since 2006, and they’re still going strong nearly two decades later. With six full-length albums behind them and their latest record released in 2023, the band has built a reputation for heartfelt hooks, clever lyricism, and songs that hit both the gut and the soul. Jon Brown (vocals/guitar), Kevin Wade Inge (lead guitar/vocals), Steve Chiles (bass), and Ricky Tubb (drums) bring a seasoned sound that blends sincerity with grit.
Rebecca Porter, born in Guam and raised in the Shenandoah Valley, is known for her creative take on Appalachian honky tonk. Her live performances are full of energy and soulful lyricism.
Dragmatic is a Raleigh local alt-country indie band with power pop influences.
