May is Preservation Month and Bike Month! Hop on your bike for a ride into history. The Raleigh Historic Development Commission (RHDC), in partnership with the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission (BPAC) and Raleigh Sister Cities, is hosting the 2^nd annual Raleigh Historic Bike Ride.

This year, the 4-mile route includes stops at sites identified in our recently completed LGBTQIA+ Historic Context Study! RHDC volunteers at each site will share a brief history of the property.

The stops include:

• Nash Square (200 S. McDowell St.)
• Sir Walter Raleigh Hotel (400 Fayetteville St.)
• Cameron Court Apartments (905 Hillsborough St.)
• Women’s Culture Collective Coffeehouse (119 Hawthorne Rd.)
• Pullen Memorial Baptist Church (1805 Hillsborough St.)
• Legends Nightclub (330 W. Hargett St.)
