This is an entry point for folks who are new to gym spaces or who have had little or challenging experiences in traditional gym settings. Walking into a gym for the first time can bring up many feelings including uncertainty, nerves, curiosity or even excitement. This workshop is designed to meet you where you are and offer a clear supportive introduction to the gym in a way that feels accessible and empowering.
Gym 101 is a beginner focused educational workshop centered on helping less experienced gym goers feel more at ease. We will explore common equipment, how to perform common moves safely, and tips and tricks to navigate a gym environment. There will be time to observe, ask questions and try things out at your own pace without pressure.
This workshop is for you if you have never been to a gym, are returning after time away, or want a gentle confidence boost before joining classes or training sessions. The space is calm, welcoming and rooted in body respect with an emphasis on learning rather than perfection. You can expect guidance, reassurance, and practical tools to support your comfort and confidence in the gym.
No prior experience is needed and all bodies and movement backgrounds are welcome.
