Details
Guest artist Michele Yellin brings a series of large scale bold paintings to CMAC with her exhibition “This is Home”. Yellin is a full time artist who creates color saturated expressionistic paintings with subject matter that is abstracted and simplified. She works with acrylic paint, building up layers with a variety of tools to enrich and enliven the surface of the canvas. It is through this process that the painting begins to tell a story and it is how Michele discovers and reveals her inner life. Her hope is that while her story is singular, it resonates with others. Images about connection, family, memory, love, joy, mystery, dreams and home are frequent themes.
