It's the year of the snake, a time of reflection, recalibration, and renewal. Like the snake that's compelled to strip off its skin in order to grow, art is an assertion of the will, an intentional act of creation or destruction that forces change. Life often blindsides us with unexpected changes, but there are also positive changes that we can nurture, in ourselves and the community around us, which allow us to evolve and flourish. Every time you create a work of art, you are guiding a metamorphosis, through manipulation of the materials, as the piece changes to follow your vision. For the month of March we want to celebrate intentional growth, evolution, and transformation. Come see how artists express this transformative change, growth and much more.
And on First Friday, come paint with us! You can show us what moves you by contributing to our collaborative painting! There's also the amazing Five Dollar Sketch Wall- a novel way to build your art collection (even if you're broke) and help support CoLab at the same time, thanks to generous donations from our artists!
