Every month we have a new theme for our gallery shows. They are meant to inspire and not restrict, and it’s always fun to see how people interpret them. For our August show we tried an experiment: anyone who wanted to participate entered a theme idea which was randomly distributed to another artist. The artists had a month to finish a piece based on their new random theme. The work is now finished and it’s time to celebrate! Join us on Friday, August 1st, as we reveal the results of the amazing artistic experiment we called “Theme Roulette”.
And on First Friday, you can join in the fun with a new twist on our collaborative painting. Pick an artist-submitted theme and paint with us There's also the amazing Five Dollar Sketch Wall- a novel way to build your art collection (even if you're broke) and help support CoLab at the same time, thanks to generous donations from our artists!
