Protesting is a collaborative, real world action that brings people together for a common cause, to get noticed by power and to find camaraderie in a common goal. The act of protesting, inclusive of time, borders, and political movements, also has a recognizable visual language and aesthetic. On the eve of America's 250th birthday, our local art community raises its voice to celebrate our first amendment rights of artistic expression. Come see protest-inspired art, political art, art inspired by causes to love or rage about, and even signs from recent demonstrations.

CoLab also hosts the amazing Five Dollar Sketch Wall- a novel way to build your art collection (even if you're broke). This month, all donations will go to support Raleigh United Mutual Aid Hub (RUMAH), thanks to generous donations from our artists!

The Carter Building will be hopping Friday! While you're here, visit our awesome neighbors throughout the building!
