Why is spooky season so special to us? Of course, there's the nostalgic fun: transforming ourselves through costumes, indulging in horror films, taking candy from strangers. Culturally, it's permission to let our guard down and explore fear together, however we see fit - from humor and absurdity to visceral, skin-tingling terror. This October, CoLab explores things that keep us up at night with a show on "Fear". Come see how local artists explore fear in all forms, from phobias to existentialisms. Creating art about fear is a powerful form of processing and exposure. Sharing it shows us that we're not alone. What are you afraid of?
And on First Friday, come paint with us by contributing to our collaborative painting! There's also the amazing Five Dollar Sketch Wall- a novel way to build your art collection (even if you're broke) and help support CoLab at the same time, thanks to generous donations from our artists!
