About the Speakers:
Caitlin Ward, Owner of Hartwell | Hartwell was originally built as M.H’s Grocerteria in the late 1950s by my grandfather. As a downtown Raleigh native, it's been so exciting to see our city grow! Hartwell serves as a retail and community space offering goods from local makers and artists of all kind as well as an indoor and outdoor space to host workshops, events, pop-ups, outdoor markets and more. In addition to Hartwell I own a residential property company with my husband, Matt. My favorite role is as a Mom to my wonderful 3 kids. It’s an honor to continue my family’s legacy through Hartwell and share it with my kids as well as the community!
Tatiana Cooper, Founder and Executive Director of SAGE | Southside Chicago native Tatiana Cooper received her degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University, and is a member of the illustrious Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She currently resides in Raleigh, North Carolina where she serves as the Founder and Executive Director for the fastest growing nonprofit organization in North Carolina called SAGE (Saving Adolescent Girls Everywhere). Cooper recently received the Entrepreneurship Award from the North Carolina Black Women's Empowerment Network alongside Governor Roy Cooper's Chief of Staff and she is also a recent graduate of the City of Raleigh Citizens Leadership Academy. She was featured on ABC, CBS, and WRAL news for her changemaking work which highlighted her mentorship of 30 adolescent girls ages 12-18, and she currently holds a waitlist of 367 girls. Cooper was recently successful in opening her first location for the girls in Downtown Raleigh and she also received recognition for being the only youth program awarded a contract with the reputable Raleigh Parks and Recreation. As one of the most progressive community leaders she is also able to balance her schedule with working full time at Fidelity Investments as a High Net Worth associate, and she is also a mother to a 3 year old daughter. Cooper hopes to leave her mark in North Carolina, but she truly hopes to expand SAGE to other states and partner with other leaders across the country so that she can continue her mission to Save Adolescent Girls Everywhere.
