Throughout history, representation of the human form has been charged with tremendous positive and negative energy. Whether a taboo or a revelation of mastery over form and expression, crafting life-like human figures appeals to us. The human nude is used to master skills, understand ourselves, and push social and psychological buttons. This exhibit aims to discover how the human form is explored and represented sculpturally.
The Green Monkey is excited to showcase the art of the semi-nude, implied nude, and figurative human form created by James (Jim) Fatata.
Jim is an accomplished artist who works primarily with clay to create unique, symbolic, figurative sculptures in the classical realism style. He interprets and explores the subtle nuances of sculptural forms to accurately portray and celebrate the human form while exploring different aspects of the human experience. His sculptures are handmade and original.
