Evening of Giving is Designed For Joy's largest annual fundraiser offering several unique opportunities to engage and have fun while supporting the mission to provide women in crisis with stability through immediate employment and support. Designed For Joy, a registered 501(c)(3) local nonprofit, provides living wage work for women emerging from trafficking, homelessness, time in prison and other vulnerable situations. The Evening of Giving will take place Thursday, September 26, from 7pm – 10pm at the Merrimon-Wynne House located at 500 N. Blount Street, Raleigh, NC 27604.
The Evening of Giving will be filled with stories of success, live music, food, and much more! Participate in an artisan experience. Create a unique signature product with an expert sewist to take home. Shop for the newest artisan handbag designs and accessories made at the DFJ studio in downtown Raleigh, NC and bid on unique offerings in a silent and live auction.
To date, more than 150 women have been hired with over $500,000 in living wages earned.
