Do you want to write about sex and sensuality, but you're not sure how? Do you want to be introduced to the poets who write sex the best, the steamiest, the strangest? Do you believe in the sensuality of language itself, the sinewy muscularity of a juicy sentence? If so, this erotic poetry class (designed for beginners and beyond) should be a wonderful fit.
Each week, we’ll discuss a different corner of the erotic poetry landscape, from the erotics of disgust to the collision of religion and eroticism. This is a generative class, so expect to write a poem each week: prompts will be provided. We’ll read poems, we’ll write poems, we’ll talk about poems, we’ll share our own poems with each other: a (more sensual than usual) poem-party!
