Details
Two-part workshop that will meet on November 4th + 11th. Learn a wide array of stitching, beading and embroidery techniques while creating a textured wonderland that celebrates the process of art and world making. This class will encourage you to play with colors, materials and surfaces with opportunities to incorporate non-traditional and otherwise neglected or discarded materials into their pieces. The results will not only be mesmerizing, but also sustainable! We welcome you to bring any unusual materials you would be excited to try, as well as an image of what you consider to be a "wonderland". If you would like your image printed out, please email it to Danny Peña at dpena@artspacenc.org by Nov. 3rd. No prior experience is necessary to participate in this class.
