Edward Crowther and Band with Lady Jane Grey are playing Slim’s on October 11th from 9-11pm! This show marks a true homecoming for Raleigh native Edward Crowther, bringing his hard-hitting rock sound back to the city where it all began. Edward’s musical journey kicked off in 2016 with the soaring guitar tones of Portugal. The Man, and later developed his love of rock from Guns & Roses’ player, Slash, who lit a fire that never burned out. Armed with his grandparents’ acoustic Epiphone, he taught himself to play and song-write under the Carolina heat. He eventually channeled that passion into his first band, Burban, a hard rock group that tore through North Carolina’s venues, from Pour House to Deep South.
After the band’s run, a pandemic, and some time to regroup, Edward roared back with his solo debut in 2021. Since then, he’s been cranking out riff-heavy anthems like “Who The Hell (You Think You Are),” “Snake Groove,” and “California Cruisin’,” all while running his own Charlotte-based studio, Burban Records. His music wears its influences proudly but pushes forward with his own raw energy.
Now, with Edward Crowther & Band, he’s bringing that firepower to Slim’s Dive Bar for a night that’s part celebration, part revival, and all rock ‘n’ roll.
Joining the night is Lady Jane Grey, a heavy metal band with influences of classic 70s-80s metal and 90s grunge angst. They released their first single in January, cementing their career and spot in the NC scene. Since the release, they have gained a huge cult following right here in Raleigh, being known for their energetic performances and unique sound. Frontwoman Lizzy’s vocals are raw and “Sabbath-esque”. Come grab a drink and get down to a hometown rocker and local metal band!
