Are you ready to deepen your understanding of your relationship with the environment through poetry? In this class, we will explore the tradition and contemporary practice of writing about nature, all the way from nature appreciation to the intersection of environmental and social activism. You will gain familiarity with the terms ecopoetry and ecofeminism, as well as write new poems of your own. The class is primarily writing-and-workshop-based with plenty of writing prompts and discussion of poets like Mary Oliver, Joy Harjo, Aimee Nezhukumatathil, Camille Dungy, Ross Gay, Robert Hass, and others. Join us in a supportive community as you hone your craft!
