This is a two-part, multi-generational printmaking workshop that will meet two Saturdays in a row on September 23 and 30. This workshop is for all ages. Come with a friend or family! Attendees under the age of 16 must sign up with a parent/guardian.
Saturday September 23 at Raleigh City Farm @ 800 N. Blount St.
See the farm through the eyes of an artist, a bounty of color and beauty, and discover the art in this ecosystem. You’ll be guided to observe, make drawings outside where the plants grow, and prepare a printing plate. A special part of this workshop will be creating a folio of hand rubbed prints made from the artist’s hand carved woodblocks at the farm!
Saturday, September 30 at Artspace @ 201 E. Davie St.
Make art alongside artists' studios and be inspired by the creativity found inside Artspace. Your drawings will be transformed by the art of printmaking. You’ll create a series of prints with colored inks and handmade papers. A unique opportunity of this workshop will be a Pop Up exhibition of your work at Artspace through First Friday in October!
