Crank for a Cause is Oaks and Spokes' annual fundraiser ride! This social bike ride starts at Crank Arm Brewing in downtown Raleigh and travels to Trophy Brewing on Maywood, and then Raleigh Brewing on Neil Street before returning to Crank Arm.
There are three time slots for the regular ride: 12:30 PM, 1:00 PM, and 1:30 PM. You can select your time slot during the Eventbrite checkout process. Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes before your chosen departure time to check in. We strongly encourage you to ride your bike, take transit, or carpool to this event.
Since this event takes place just a few days before Halloween, we encourage all participants to wear their favorite costumes! Costumes are not required but are highly encouraged!
The route is approximately twelve miles at an easy, social pace. This is a no-drop ride, and each group will stay together for the entire tour. Each group will have a ride leader, marshal support, and a sweep. The route takes no more than three hours to complete, including 30-45 minute stops at each brewery.
This year, we are also bringing back the longer route to the same destinations. This ride is for those looking for a greater distance and a slightly faster pace. Like the regular ride, the longer ride will be a no-drop ride with regrouping points along the route. It will depart at 12:30 PM and stop at the same brewery locations. The long ride will return to Crank Arm Brewing by 4:30 PM or earlier.
The event is FREE for everyone who signs up, but if you'd like to support Oaks and Spokes and all that we do, please consider making a donation at a level that is comfortable for you during checkout. Making a donation is not required to participate.
With a minimum donation of $25, if you are not yet an Oaks & Spokes member, we will provide you with a complimentary annual membership. If you have an active membership set to renew annually, we will extend your membership through 2025.
