Have you missed Locals Seafood being in downtown Raleigh? We definitely have been missing them in the neighborhood, so we’re bringing in Eric Montagne, Locals Seafood Executive Chef, to teach a special cooking class for Valentine’s week. Eric will be sharing ways to show your love for the Carolina Coast by eating sustainable seafood, while walking through tips for roasting oysters and seafood ceviche strategies. He’ll also provide suggestions for selecting seafood with your local fishmonger to include more of these healthy proteins in your weekly meals (to show love for yourself and your wellness!). Along the way, Nathan Williams, Current co-owner and semi-professional oyster shucker with Locals, will highlight wellness benefits of seafood for your body, mind, and community. Class participants will help prepare oysters and ceviche (shucking optional!) for the group meal to go along with a special main dish prepared by Chef Eric. You’re welcome to bring your own alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages; there’s also beverages available for purchase at the Current or next door at Roshambo Beverage Company.
