Details
Two-part workshop that will meet on Thursday November 9th + 16th. Join Artspace and Oami Powers for this intro level ceramic class that will lead participants through techniques and best practices for working with clay. You will learn how to build your own Magnolia flower using clay, then apply glaze for added bursts of color. Part-one will focus on forming your clay and creating your Magnolias. Artspace will fire the greenware during the week and have them ready for part-two, at which point students will glaze their pieces. A final firing in the kiln will be required and you'll be asked to return to Artspace within a few days to collect your artworks. This is an entry level class and no prior experience is required.
