A mystically glamorous ballet set to the live music of Maurice Ravel, “La Valse” captures the allure and inevitability of fate. Balanchine’s choreography brings a sweeping romanticism and a sense of the surreal to this darkly elegant work.
This thoughtfully curated mixed repertory program pairs iconic works with contemporary choreography, showcasing the range and richness of ballet.
Also on the program will be Robert La Fosse's “Concerto in Five Movements,” Artistic Director/CEO Zalman Raffael's “B for Ballet,” and Michel Fokine's “Le Spectre De La Rose” and “The Dying Swan.”
“La Valse” will run from November 20th - November 23rd at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium, accompanied by live music.
