Bringing Punk and Dembow to the same night
Raleigh artist Vanny Preem returns to Kings for CARNIBOYS: Saint's Homecoming, an immersive live experience celebrating his latest EP, CARNIBOYS, and the Raleigh community that has helped shape his artistic journey.
The event brings together a diverse lineup of independent artists from Raleigh and beyond, featuring MUDA! from Boston, Coberzz of Hardknocks ENT, Finesse Tha Phantom representing 47 Eyes on Me, and Raleigh's own R9ueve, who will bring dembow into a punk-inspired environment.
CARNIBOYS continues the story of Vanny Preem's larger CARNIVAL universe, blending rap, punk, rock, Caribbean influences, and visual storytelling. For Saint's Homecoming, that world moves from the music into the venue itself. The goal is to create a night where the audience is not simply watching a performance, but becoming part of the environment surrounding the project.
Guests are encouraged to participate in the visual identity of CARNIBOYS by arriving in the project's signature all-white-and-orange attire. The concept builds on Vanny Preem's previous CARNIBOYS listening event at Newsagents, where attendees were invited to dress within the project's aesthetic. For Saint's Homecoming, that idea expands into the live show, turning the crowd into an extension of the CARNIBOYS world.
The night will feature an immersive performance centered around CARNIBOYS, alongside performances from each member of the lineup. By bringing together artists working across punk, rap, alternative music, and dembow, the event reflects the increasingly genre-fluid nature of Raleigh's independent music scene while creating space for artists from outside the city to connect with the local community.
For Vanny Preem, Saint's Homecoming is both a celebration of CARNIBOYS and a homecoming to Raleigh. It marks his final Raleigh headlining performance of 2026 and continues his effort to build experiences around his music that extend beyond the traditional concert setting.
